English Announcements

The OLH Women’s Group Scholarship applications are now available in the narthex or with Elizabeth Hudacko. Below is a flyer with more details. 


With Lent right around the corner, we encourage everyone to start bringing in old palms so they can be burned in time for Ash Wednesday. A basket will be placed in the narthex for collection. 


As you leave Mass, you’ll see Mano Amiga’s Valentine’s sale. All proceeds will support the sick and needy in our community. Thank you for your generosity and continued support of our parish. 


If you want to improve your English, you are welcome to join our new ESL (English as a second language) Ministry, and if you are a fluent English speaker and would like to help, we could use volunteers to practice English conversation with. Consider joining us for class on Mondays and Thursdays at 6:30PM. 

 

Tax acknowledgment letters for the year 2024 have been mailed out to all parishioners who contributed a total of $600 or more throughout the year. If you contributed less and need a letter please call the parish office.

Las solicitudes para la beca del Grupo de Mujeres de OLH ya están disponibles en el nártex o con Elizabeth Hudacko. En este sitio tambien podrá encontrar el volante con más información.  

 

Con la Cuaresma acercándose, los invitamos a traer sus palmas del año pasado para así quemarlas y usarlas el Miércoles de Ceniza. Habrá una canasta en el nártex para colectarlas. 

 

Al salir de Misa, verán la venta de San Valentín de Mano Amiga. Todas las ganancias ayudarán a los enfermos y necesitados de nuestra comunidad. Gracias por su generosidad y por el apoyo que brindan a nuestra parroquia. 


Tendremos clases de inglés gratuitas los lunes y jueves a las 6:30pm.  También si alguien ya sabe inglés y gustaría ayudarnos a practicar se les agradecería su tiempo. 


Cartas de reconocimiento de impuestos para el año 2024 se han enviado por correo a todos los feligreses que contribuyeron con un total de $600 o más durante el año. Si contribuyó menos y necesita una carta, llame a la oficina parroquial.

Muchas gracias a toda la comunidad que cooperó haciendo su compra! 🙏🏾 Y un agradecimiento especial a todos los voluntarios que hicieron esta venta posible! ¿como se dice?…. SE LA RIFARON! Todo les quedó hermoso! EN: Sale of floral arrangements for Valentine's Day at our church Our Lady of the Hills 🌹to benefit the sick in our community! It was a success! Thank you very much to everyone who supported us by making a purchase, a donation and for sharing! 🙏🏾 And a special thank you to all the volunteers who made this sale possible! ES: Aquí las últimas donaciones que ha podido hacer nuestra Sociedad de Mano Amiga. Cada donación trae esperanza y apoyo a quienes enfrentan dificultades económicas. Si gusta y puede apoyar este gran ministerio, el 15 y 16 de febrero tendrán una Venta de San Valentín saliendo de todas las misas. Las ganancias serán para ayudar a los enfermos y necesitados de nuestra comunidad. EN: Here are the latest donations made by our Mano Amiga Society. Every donation brings hope and support to those facing economic difficulties. If you would like to and can support this great ministry, there will be a Valentine’s Day Sale on February 15th and 16th after all Masses. The proceeds will go to help the sick and needy in our community.

EN: A huge thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who braved the cold and rain last Saturday to help clean up the area around the pavilion! Your hard work means so much, and we're beyond excited for what’s ahead. We can't wait to see a soccer field and volleyball court ready for all the fun and memories we'll create together in the future! ES: ¡Un enorme agradecimiento a todos nuestros increíbles voluntarios que enfrentaron el frío y la lluvia el sábado pasado para ayudar a limpiar el área alrededor de la cabañita! Su esfuerzo significa mucho para nosotros, y estamos muy emocionados por lo que viene. ¡No podemos esperar a ver el campo de fútbol y la cancha de voleibol listos para toda la diversión y los recuerdos que crearemos juntos en el futuro!

Blessings from the Ground Up! // ¡Bendiciones de arriba a abajo!

EN: Over the Christmas holidays, several dedicated volunteers from our parish generously gave their time, skills, and materials to complete two much-needed improvement projects. Rick Holden, Harold Cecil, Guiseppe Sita, and Fred Miller worked to install beautiful new vinyl flooring in four bathrooms of the Family Life Center, carefully removing, cleaning, and reinstalling the toilets in the process. At the same time, Fred Miller and Antonio Moran led a hardworking crew to rebuild the collapsing carport roof of the rectory house, preventing further damage and enhancing the beauty of our parish grounds. These projects not only improve our facilities but also reflect the spirit of generosity and care that makes Our Lady of the Hills such a special community. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to each volunteer for your time, dedication, and love for our parish. ES: Durante las vacaciones de Navidad, varios voluntarios dedicados de nuestra parroquia dieron generosamente su tiempo, habilidades y materiales para completar dos proyectos de mejoras muy necesarios. Rick Holden, Harold Cecil, Guiseppe Sita y Fred Miller trabajaron para instalar hermosos pisos de vinilo nuevos en cuatro baños del Centro de Vida Familiar, quitando, limpiando y reinstalando cuidadosamente los inodoros en el proceso. Al mismo tiempo, Fred Miller y Antonio Moran organizaron un equipo trabajador para reconstruir el techo derrumbado de la cochera de la casa sacerdotal, evitando más daños y mejorando la belleza de los terrenos de nuestra parroquia. Estos proyectos no solo mejoran nuestras instalaciones, sino que también reflejan el espíritu de generosidad y cuidado que hace de Nuestra Señora de las Colinas una comunidad tan especial. Desde el fondo de nuestro corazón, gracias a cada voluntario por su tiempo, dedicación y amor por nuestra parroquia.
